Introductions

My friends have started to introduce me to people as, “This is Mia. She’s the scientist.” Met a number of people last week (I was unusually social) and four different people introduced me that way. One person asked where I worked and I was midreply, “I work in a lab-” when my friend cut me of and said, “She’s a forensic scientist.” 

My friends are proud of me; it’s adorable.

Yogi

So I ran into a few friends in the gym today as I was going to get my stuff out of the locker. For classes at the gym you must obtain a wristband to go to one; so I had two on from my two back to back yoga classes and a friend saw them and was surprised and said, "OMG you went to two hours of yoga classes?" And I simply responded, "Yeah, I go to about five classes a week." But the real point of this post and what made my day was that another friend said to my confused friend, "Yeah, didn't you know? Mia's a yogi!"

My friends all know that I regularly practice yoga, but to have one call me a 'yogi' honestly made my day.

What?

Some of my friends say the stupidest things:

M: I'm in panera and this man sitting in a chair dropped his sleeping kid and called him a pain.
J: Lol so he's playing it too or you just totally confused me because that made no sense

J: When are you coming home?
M: Idk sometime tomorrow or monday
J: Oh I was just wondering girly sheew...
J: Are you gonna be here on march 10th how's that a better question.
M: No. I'll be back in richmond. Yeah I know it's your birthday.
J: LMAO I know you know. Sheew crab ass. Well I'm going out tuesday if your not busy. You sound like you need to sleep.
M: I can't Tuesdays are my super long days
J: Oh well I thought I would ask.

Hours later...

J: If you're in a better mood today lol. I'm planning on being in richmond next sunday hang out with amanda if you happen to have time to hang out I could pick you up.

I have no desire to reply to you right now.

Face n Life (I see what you did there)

I've decided to follow Ms. Phan's at home pore strip recipe and I shall see how it goes. I want to leave it on long enough to finish a page of my art history homework that I've fallen so far behind on it's not even funny. Summer time has just demotivated me. I don't want to work and I don't want to 'study' (because really it's an online class and only two of my assignments are closed book). I just don't want to do anything. My mom picked me up from work the other day and we went to Food Lion afterward and she asked me what I was going to do with the rest of my day, see my friends? And I almost asked, "What friends?" HA. Yeeeahh. It's kinda an eh vacation. I never see anyone really. Everyone has a crazy schedule and I don't have 24/7 transportation so it makes life kinda hard. Like I told Evan, if I won the lottery life would be easier.
