Concerts

Just saw Breaking Benjamin Unplugged at The Filmore...it was amazing (no surprise). I splurged and did the meet and greet, which was totally worth it. I also was lucky enough to get a set list off the stage, which was not part of the VIP package when I saw/met them in January - aka bonus!!!! ANNNNNDD Jasen said, "I love your hair." 100% direct quote. *dreamy eyes*

Basically, it was wonderful and onto the other two concerts - 3 in 30 days - Evanescence, whom I've never seen, and Britney Spears in Vegas.

Today after work we had a "second shift get together" because first shift does things like that all the time and sends emails about it frequently and of course we can't go. Anyways, I'm at the get together and I talk to a girl that I see all the time, but have never spoken to and she told me that I am "hair goals". I'm going to let that sink in for a minute. I am someone's hair goal. That's so exciting and humbling at the same time. It makes me happy that my army of products work well together and others can see it and not just me.

As my 23rd year comes to a close, I feel the need to reflect back. I've been saying for as long as I can remember that I think 23 will be an amazing year for me and my blind faith hasn't failed me. At 23, I graduated from college with two bachelors of science, 10 weeks after graduation landed a (slightly degree using) job making over $30,000/year, bought a car and 10 months after graduation entered the forensic field and moved out of my parent's house into my first apartment living by myself. As I write this out, three hours before my birthday, I can honestly say that my 23rd year was a success. 

Hair length

I just stretched a piece of my hair to the top of my boob!!!!!

Internship

I started my "internship" today! I mainly went over all of the lab safety things that I needed to (legally) go through, but I also watched my (second) grad student extract and quantify samples. It really just motivated me to want to get back in the lab aka find a job. And as I was talking to my advisor she said if I had the time I could potentially start my own project!!! Me!! Lead person on a project!! I'm just really excited. It's honestly the best thing that's happened with my rather dull summer life after college.

Hair Update

In the month and a half that I've been natural, my hair has grown and retained length significantly more than my relaxed hair. I'm excited and amazed at the same time.

Scuba

I'm getting my lulu scuba hoodie tomorrow!!!! Beyond excited!!!

PS4

So I'm not going to get any manga at Otakon so I can get the ps4 in November. ANND I'm also preordering FFX (obviously...) that's $40, and I have Kingdom Hearts 1.5 preordered, I owe $20, and I am going to get FFXIII-3 (yes, I know) which is going to be $60, so I need to set aside $120 for video games in addition to the $400 for the ps4. I already have $100 set aside for it and I was going to buy something from lulu, but I think I might not because I really really want the ps4. I might dump out my piggy banks again and take all the coins out of my car to see if I can scrounge up twenty or so dollars to help ease the pain. Maybe I'll sell my soul or something.

At 4 am my phone was in Chesapeake!! I'm getting it today after work!!!!

Upgrade ya

My dad's going to Gtown to pick up my (and Brandon's) phone!!! Which meeeannns when I get off work at 8 I'll be a smart phone owner!!!! EEK!!

My first...

Today, Tuesday, June 4, I got a car. My Ford Escape. Es-capee. Her name is Dory. She is blue (how fitting). And I love her.

I got her two hours before I had to go to work. : ( I spent most of the day at work looking outside, just looking at her and thinking I finally can go places when I want to and visit people without having to worry about getting the car back for someone else to use it. Or being dependent on my friends to pick me up and take me places. Now I can be the one picking them up and going places.

HDMI

I got an HDMI cord for $7 at work on Thursday. I am sooo ready for FFX and KH1.5

My Yoga Journey

I just did my first real headstand. I floated my way up and held it. I am so very proud of myself you have no idea. I didn't think I had the core for this, but apparently I do. I can now say I've done my first real inversion. Now it's time to work on balance. I'll get a video on here soon, but for now I think I'm going to do it a few more times. At the beginning of the school year I couldn't do this. I can see my progress in my videos. I'm happy I decided to record myself. Watching myself fall a million times was definitely worth it because it lead me to this moment.

I am amazing.

I am successful.

FFX

Sometime this year Final Fantasy X, my favorite of them all, is coming to the ps3. I am getting it. Even if I don't have the $60+ to get it. I. Am. Getting. It. I. Am. Preordering it as soon as GameStop allows for it.
