Revving it up

It makes me sad when I hear a song and love it, but then later find out that it's a cover of an older song. It almost makes me think not less, but less, of the musician because they didn't write it, but at the same time I'm happy that they have a good taste in music to bring back an old song and rev it up...or at least their label does...
