Tonight was fantastic. I was invited to the invite only Phi Sigma Pi rush event and it was Harry Potter themed. They did an excellent job at that. While we were doing some of the games they called a few of us out at a time to do interviews for a camera so that they could see everyone who was who and remember faces for the vote. Well I heard brothers talking and they said voting was at 8. Ok here's a break down: 30 potentials 20 spots 1-2 minutes each on camera; 30 people x 2 minutes = 1 hour of video = 9 pm. Now I figured from experience that they didn't start until 8:15-8:30 so that means 9:30 and then I thought about 30 minutes for voting. Well Tylea, a girl on my floor who rushed with me, is facebook friends with some of the members and one of them logged on and she I'm and asked if they were going to call in the morning even though they said they'd call that night. Well at 12:29 they were still voting! I know. I got a call from a mysterious number, that I was waiting for, at 1:45 am exactly and the girl on the other line asked if I was me and said she was calling from PSP. I thought it was obvious that I knew that because why would anyone else call me at almost 2 am and actually expect me to answer? Any ways, I was happy to finally get the call and she introduced herself, said she was from PSP (basically what I just said two lines ago) and that they'd like to invite me to become a member!!! When she said that I got so excited and said, "OH MY GOSH REALLY?" And then she asked if that was a "yes" haha duh.
I honestly didn't expect to get in because people don't remember me after they meet me, but I guess I spoke to the right people and made a good impression of me.
