Nasty

I'm about to switch love to the xbox because my ps3 is being a pain...it's only two years old and having hardware formatting problems.  I take good care of my baby and it has decided to want to format itself and it's getting on my nerves. I'm attempting to figure out how to move the data, but it won't recognize my external hard drive which has plenty of space on it...
